Fighting Breed Specific Legislation
Ontario's Bill 132, a province-wide ban on "pit bull type" dogs including American Staffordshire Terriers, has passed Royal Assent and will be enacted on August 29th, 2005.
The American Staffordshire Terrier Club of Canada has come together with the Dog Legislation Council of Canada, the Golden Horseshoe American Pit Bull Terrier Club, Advocates for the Underdog, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Canada to form the Banned Aid Coalition. This coalition has hired well known lawyer Clayton Ruby to fight this ban.
There are many ways you can help with our fundraising to help fight this ban. See the "Fundraising to Fight BSL" page here to find out how you can support the legal defense against Bill 132 in Ontario.
